Eulogy & funeral tribute writing
A 45-minute conversation about the person you're honoring. A eulogy written to be spoken aloud — from a few days out to a few hours away.
Why a call, not a form
You knew this person. What's missing isn't information — it's a way to get what you know out of your head and onto the page, said the way you'd actually say it out loud, in front of people who are grieving too. That's a conversation, not a form.
We get on a call — video or phone, whichever is easier for you. I ask about who they were: the facts, the stories people tell about them, what it actually felt like to love them, and what you want people to carry out of that room.
I take what you gave me and shape it into a eulogy built to be read aloud — the right length, the right pacing, room to breathe in the hard parts.
You get it back the same day as a plain document, ready to print or read from your phone. One free round of edits if something isn't quite right.
Who's doing this
I've spent a career doing exactly this kind of work: sitting with people, listening for what actually matters in a life, and putting it into words meant to be spoken out loud. I once collected over 300 stories about a beloved teacher I'd never even met, and his family asked me to tell his story at the funeral. That's the work — not writing about a stranger, but listening carefully enough that it doesn't feel like one.
